Quilled Letter J Monogram
Black & White Vines
This quilled letter J monogram was very simply made with 1/4″ white outline on a white background. The dimensions are 4×6 and I used one color: black. I decided to use a simplistic vine pattern consisting of teardrops and connected them with strips of black paper. In the hook of the J I used short-tailed coils and on the top I used coils that I allowed to expand enough to fill the outline. Very simple, but very sexy.
I’m not entirely certain what font I used for the letter outline, but it took me a bit of searching to get one that had a bulb on the end. I always search for the perfect font for my projects and this takes hours, then end up using a stock font instead. Except in this case.
This particular monogram was a gift for my mother-in-law whose name is Jeanette. I think that I asked about her favorite color and the response was black so that’s how this monogram ended up in existence.
I used Quilled Creations paper for this. You should check out their site. They have great prices, fast shipping, and their paper is very nice to work with.
